The playoff picture slowly coming into focus as the season reaches the midway mark.
Cincinnati takes aim at Chicago. At 5-0, the Commandos continue to roll, while the Cardinals are still looking for their first win. The Cardinals dropped to 0-4 with a 69-45 loss to Fort Wayne. Cincinnati sputtered, but hung on to beat Miami Valley 58-50. Ben Mauk was tabbed for another player of the week selection for Cincinnati. The Commandos are scoring more than 52 points a game, and allowing 29. Cincinnati is at the top of the league in a number of offense categories. Chicago is still trying to make things happen.
An inspired Miami Valley team looks to gain ground in the standings at Marion. Fresh off a 58-50 loss to leading Cincinnati, the Silverbacks have something to prove against their in-state rival. Miami is 1-4, Marion is 2-2. The Mayhem have experienced their offensive issues scoring 20 points or less in three of their four games. Last time out the Mayhem lost 34-20 to Wisconsin.
Fort Wayne is looking for payback at Wisconsin after being humbled 49-0 by the Wolfpack in Fort Wayne. The Firehawks defeated Chicago last week 69-45 while Wisconsin improved to 3-1 with a 34-20 win over Marion. The Wolfpack are scoring nearly 37 points a game while allowing just 25. Fort Wayne scores about 35 points a contest, and gives up 44 a game. This is real statement game for Fort Wayne that looks to post back-to-back wins and show the early whitewash by the Wolfpack was a fluke.
